New scientific publication on immunometabolic pharmacology

PMC is pleased to share its recent scientific publication in Planta Medica:

“Borassus aethiopum in Immunometabolic Pharmacology: Linking Phytochemistry, Oxidative Stress and Cytokine Signalling”

The publication explores the role of complex plant-based matrices as potential multi-target modulators within the immunometabolic framework, with a specific focus on the interplay between oxidative stress, cytokine signalling and chronic low-grade inflammation.

Cardiometabolic diseases represent a growing global challenge, requiring approaches that go beyond single-pathway targeting. This work contributes to an evolving perspective in which integrated, system-level strategies are increasingly relevant for both research and healthcare decision-making.

The findings highlight how emerging scientific paradigms may impact:

  • clinical and translational research design
  • regulatory evaluation frameworks
  • Market Access and value demonstration strategies

At PMC, we continuously monitor and interpret scientific advancements to support pharmaceutical and healthcare stakeholders in navigating complexity and aligning innovation with regulatory and market requirements.
