Positional Overview
Pharmaceutical Import/Export Manager shall be charged with the superintendence and administration of all operational facets pertaining to PMC clients’ pharmaceutical importation and exportation activities.
A strategic and extensively experienced person of distinguished leadership caliber is hereby sought to integrate within the existing organisational framework and to assume comprehensive oversight of global pharmaceutical importation and exportation operations.
This role mandates the assurance of rigorous compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks, the efficient management of documentation, effective coordination with logistical partners and the systematic optimisation of the efficiency inherent in the commercial processes.
Principal Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the regulatory and logistical activities of import and export of pharmaceutical products.
- Ensure compliance with national and international applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Manage technical and customs documentation (licences, health certificates, declarations, CoA, etc.).
- Interface with Health and Customs Authorities, international freight forwarders and clients.
- Manage multidisciplinary projects for clients, monitoring time, costs and results.
- Coordinate a team of junior resources and foster their professional growth.
- Collaborate with the commercial area for pre-sales activities and client development.
- Analysing and optimising operational and regulatory flows to improve efficiency and compliance.
Requisite Qualifications and Proficiencies
- Degree in scientific disciplines (Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or similar); Economics or Management Engineering is also accepted, if accompanied by specific pharmaceutical experience.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in regulatory, logistical or commercial work in the pharma or Medical Device sector.
- Excellent knowledge of GDP, GMP and import/export national and international requirements for Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and APIs.
- Fluent English (minimum level B2); knowledge of a second language is a plus.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, team and client management skills.
- Proactivity, results orientation and problem solving.
